About Jacob

Jacob Ballinger is an English composer for Television, Film and Video Games based in the Midlands, UK. By crafting unique soundscapes and melodies, his compositions are designed to enhance the narrative and atmosphere of each individual project.

Jacob holds a degree in in Film Music (BA) from Leeds Conservatoire as well as a Master's degree in Music for the Moving image from Leeds Beckett University where he was able to further develop his craft.

A classically trained guitarist and pianist from a young age, Jacob demonstrates a strong knowledge of orchestral music composition heavily inspired by the likes of Michael Salvatori, John Williams and Michael Giacchino. Jacob ensures that his music remains fresh and versatile by always exploring new and creative ways of approaching composition whilst also not limiting himself to a particular style or genre.
